Organic fertilizer production is an effective means of waste resource utilization, which can reduce the pollution of waste to the environment and is an environmental protection project. However, the management of some fertilizer production process manufacturers is not standardized. Many manufacturers produce in the open or build simple sheds, which will inevitably cause secondary pollution to the environment in the fertilizer production process, which violates the principle of environmental protection. Today, let’s talk about the pollution sources of organic fertilizer manufacturers and the corresponding treatment methods?
1. Waste gas and odor pollution
Most of the raw materials of organic fertilizer are wastes and perishable substances, which are easy to produce ammonia, hydrogen sulfide and other harmful gases during the storage and fermentation of organic fertilizer raw materials.
At present, there are many ways to eliminate odor and exhaust gas, such as water washing, combustion, adsorption, air dilution, masking, ozonation, plasma and biological deodorization. Biological deodorization is the most widely used method in the production of organic fertilizer manufacturers. This method uses the activities of microorganisms to decompose and transform the odor to achieve the purpose of deodorization. This method is simple and easy to operate. It is suggested that the organic fertilizer manufacturers should build closed raw material warehouse, fermentation workshop and secondary aging workshop when conditions permit, so as to reduce the leakage of odor and harmful gas in the transformation process.
2. Waste liquid pollution
Many raw materials of organic fertilizer contain a lot of water, such as pig manure, cow manure, chicken manure and other raw materials. In the process of raw material accumulation and fermentation, there will be waste liquid flowing out and infiltrating into the ground to pollute the underground water, so it is necessary to cement harden and impervious the ground of the fermentation workshop of the raw material warehouse during the construction of the plant.
3. Dust pollution
Dust pollution is the main pollution in the fertilizer production process, which needs to be treated carefully. There are many links of dust pollution.
(1) When the raw materials are unloaded into the warehouse and handled in different workshops with the carrier
(2) When the fermentation compost windrow turner dumps the raw materials
(3) When using the crusher to crush raw materials
(4) When the fertilizer particles are dried and cooled
Many organic fertilizer manufacturers will build dedusting rooms in their workshops, and use induced draft fans and dust collectors to solve dust problems. Common dedusting equipment include: cyclone deduster, pulse deduster, water curtain deduster, bag deduster, etc. It is explained here that although dust is the source of pollution, these dust are all from the raw materials of organic fertilizer. After collection, they can be added to the raw materials for fermentation and then continue to produce organic fertilizer.
4. Noise pollution
In addition to choosing the plant site far away from the residential area, low-noise organic fertilizer machine should be selected as far as possible; equipment maintenance should be strengthened to avoid high noise caused by abnormal operation of equipment; installation of equipment can increase damping measures; reasonable planning of plant site, use of buildings to reduce noise; construction of green belts, use of vegetation to absorb sound and other measures to reduce noise.
