The adjustment of the pressure roller gap of the double roller granulator directly affects the use effect of the granulator. It should not be too large or too small, so how much adjustment is appropriate, and what are the specific operating steps?
The counter double roller granulator has the characteristics of low energy consumption, high energy saving, low investment, and simple operation. Generally, the customer’s roller press granulator has been debugged before leaving the factory. After purchasing the granulator, the customer needs to adjust it before using it. After using it for a period of time, due to roller wear, poor granulation effect, and other reasons, it is necessary to adjust the gap of the roller press granulator.
The correct method should be adopted for adjustment: first, the spacing between the pressure rollers should not be too small or too large, and must be adjusted within the specified range. Secondly, the pressure cap on the bearing pedestal side should not be too loose or tight, and the bearing rollers may shift.
1、 Advantages of double roller granulator
1. Extrusion granulation using a low energy consumption, energy-saving and energy-saving granulator is a method of granulating materials at room temperature, which requires no drying means such as fuel and gas compared to other methods.
2. Steam granulation is a commonly used method for producing composite fertilizers without adhesives in China. Through intermolecular condensation and crystallization, steam plays a bonding role in the production process. However, during the drying process, the moisture inside and on the surface of the particles must be drained, otherwise, the fertilizer will easily adhere and agglomerate during storage. Drying granulation does not require another additive, but only uses the intermolecular force of the material itself to simplify the process and reduce energy consumption.
3. Due to the cost saving, low return (approximately 15% of the total extruder consumption), simple process, and low investment of the drying process, the investment is low.
4. The materials used in the extrusion granulator include over 20 kinds of materials, such as ammonium nitrate, urea, ammonium chloride, calcium nitrate, potassium chloride, and potassium sulfate. The extrusion granulator process can flexibly change product formulations in a short time, and a set of equipment can produce up to 30 kinds of formulated products.
2、 Debugging method of double roller granulator
1. Adjustment of pressure roller gap: In production, it is sometimes necessary to increase the output or bite angle. At this point, the distance between the two compression shafts and the distance between the drive shaft and the driven shaft can be increased.
The steps are as follows: stop the machine, remove the upper gear rack of the two bearing blocks, adjust the adjustment plate between the two bearing blocks to the required thickness, and ensure that the roller skins do not collide with each other. The minimum value should be 0.3-1 mm.
2. Ball and socket alignment adjustment: The ball and socket are mainly aligned with the concave surface of the roller, and there are problems with axial and circumferential alignment
1) The axial alignment has been adjusted during installation, and overall, adjustment is unlikely. When adjustment is necessary, tighten or loosen the gland on both sides of the passive bearing seat, and push the eccentric sleeve displacement to correspond to the driving shaft roller.
2) Circumferential alignment: The step of circumferential alignment is to loosen the six connecting bolts between the passive gear and the adjustment sleeve, so that the adjustment device and the passive gear are slightly separated. Due to the consideration of the adjustment amount of the seat in the design, two adjustment bolts are installed, so no matter how much misalignment is, it is possible to adjust the misalignment.
